Job Summary
Develop and sustain quality management systems and procedures within the tape manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet internal specifications and customer requirements. Oversee the Quality Lab, manage daily QC testing for various tape grades, and ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment. Collaborate with production to troubleshoot quality issues on coating, printing, and packaging lines while partnering with procurement to assess supplier performance and qualify raw materials. Lead root cause analyses, drive Lean, Six Sigma, and waste reduction initiatives, and prepare customer-facing reports and technical documents. Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 5+ years of quality experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- 5+ years manufacturing experience
- Paper manufacturing or converting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computer software and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and software for statistical analysis
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and lean practices
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery, adhesives and varying temperature conditions
- Occasional travel to suppliers, customers or sister plants
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma experience
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Paper manufacturing or converting experience
