Job Summary
Develop and sustain quality management systems within the tape manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet internal specifications and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement. Oversee the Quality Lab and daily QC testing for various tape grades, manage first piece inspections, and lead root cause analyses to implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues on coating, printing, and packaging lines, assess supplier performance, and prepare customer-facing reports. Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and waste reduction initiatives using data analytics to optimize processes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of quality experience with three years supervisory, and knowledge of ISO 9001. Occasional travel to suppliers or sister plants is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 5+ years of quality experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- 5+ years manufacturing experience
- Paper manufacturing or converting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computer software and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and software for statistical analysis
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and lean practices
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery, adhesives and varying temperature conditions
- Occasional travel to suppliers, customers or sister plants
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma experience
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Paper manufacturing or converting experience
