Quality Assurance Lead

Job Summary
Quality Assurance Lead oversees QA personnel, training, and adherence to food-safety and quality procedures to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and related standards. Responsibilities include coaching QA staff, auditing sanitation and GMP-related activities, enforcing GMP rules, supervising raw material inspections and hold/release processes, coordinating Kosher program activities, and delivering periodic compliance data to the Corporate Quality Office. Requires strong analytical/problem-solving skills, strong English communication, and ability to work in a cold, wet environment; willingness to work overtime and weekends; and at least one year of QA experience with a High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Required Qualifications
- Possess excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
- Possess demonstrated computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess knowledge of quality assurance programs as they relate to food safety, GMP's, HACCP, Sanitation, Pest Control, and compliance to quality systems and customer requirements
- Be proficient in English (oral and written)
- Be willing to work in a cold, wet environment
- Be willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as required
- Be willing to work hours and shifts dictated by production schedule
- Be capable of meeting all attendance requirements
- Be capable of meeting required testing frequencies (detailed, fast-paced work)
- Minimum of one year QA experience
- Education/Training: High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese (preferred)
- Food industry experience a plus
