Job Summary
Conduct basic inspections on fabricated aerospace products for conformance to customer engineering specifications while adhering to NADCAP and AS9100 system requirements. Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to evaluate composite parts, and read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings. Document part nonconformance and generate nonconformance reports, then enter data into the ERP system. Correspond with other departments professionally and maintain accuracy, quality, and safety in machining, production, and cleanroom environments.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings
- Basic computer fluency
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and safety
- Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and strong sense of self‐motivation, accountability, and responsibility
- Ability to work independently and in a team with no/minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Good investigative and problem-solving skills; ability to think logically and methodically
- Ability and willingness to acclimate to the company culture and development goals
- Frequently required to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently required to use eye‐hand coordination, repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity to handle or feel
- Frequently bend, reach to shoulder level and lift, carrying, twisting, pushing and/or pulling up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing level within normal/average range
- Work in machining, production and cleanroom environments, as required
- Work in the presence of hazardous chemicals and/or occupational noise exposure, as required (PPE provided)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance preferred
- Knowledge of NADCAP and AS9100 standards preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings preferred
