Job Summary
Conduct In Process, Final, and Shipping inspections using micrometers, calipers, and optical equipment to verify product conformance with engineering drawings and specifications. Produce customer-facing reports of acceptance or non-conformance, stamp approval marks on documentation, and manage non-conforming materials. Complete inspection records, Physical and Chemical certifications, and AS9102 FAIs while entering data into the Click Bond ERP/MRP system. Test materials as necessary and verify all documentation for accuracy prior to shipment. Report immediately any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of inspection
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, procedures, and written information
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as aerospace procedures, engineering requirements, safety rules, and quality assurance manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to write and read English
- Basic knowledge of FAI's
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications from professional organizations (i.e., ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector))
- Experience with GD&T
- Experience with 6-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
