Job Summary
QA Inspector conducts in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts and incoming vendor parts, including First Article Inspections. Responsibilities include reading drawings and measuring with tape measures/calipers, performing visual and measurement inspections, approving materials/products, documenting results, maintaining calibration of inspection equipment, and supporting ISO programs, 5S, and continual improvement. Requires SAP proficiency, ability to follow written/verbal/pictorial instructions, attention to safety, and ongoing professional development through technical publications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/8 inch)
- Ability to read product drawings and schematics
- Experience reading calipers and measurement tools
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong documentation skills: reporting inspections, logs, and nonconformance records
- Knowledge of ISO programs, 5S, and continual improvement initiatives
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and unit conversion
- Ability to identify and communicate engineering/documentation changes (ECNs) affecting standards
- Ability to work in a safe environment and adhere to regulatory requirements
- Ability to participate in pre-employment drug screen and background checks
