Job Summary
Lead the site food safety and quality function at a Lincoln, Nebraska plant; develop FSQA supervisors and technical team members; strengthen the food safety culture across the site; lead and support customer, regulatory, and third‐party audits; partner with operations, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse leadership; drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions; improve quality systems, documentation, training, and audit readiness; use data, KPIs, internal audits, and production trends to identify opportunities; serve as a visible leader who can communicate clearly and drive accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Lead the site food safety and quality function
- Develop FSQA supervisors and technical team members
- Strengthen food safety culture across the plant
- Lead and support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits
- Partner with operations, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse leadership
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions
- Improve quality systems, documentation, training, and audit readiness
- Use data, KPIs, internal audits, and production trends to identify opportunities
- Serve as a visible leader who can communicate clearly and drive accountability
- 5+ years of Food safety or quality leadership experience in food manufacturing
- Experience leading and developing supervisors, leads, or technical team members
- Strong audit background, ideally with SQF, BRC, or another GFSI program
- USDA experience is preferred, but FDA-regulated food manufacturing experience will also be considered
- HACCP or PCQI certification is preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety systems, sanitation, CAPA, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production and plant leadership
- Hands-on leadership style with the confidence to set direction and follow through
