Job Summary
Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving QA systems at Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products in Westminster, SC. Key duties include managing PPAP documentation (PFO, FMEA, SPC, Gage R&R), preparing for customer on-site source inspections, assisting with ISO-9001/AS-9100 quality management system implementation and maintenance, serving as primary contact for customer complaints related to documentation and compliance, leading internal and supplier audits as Lead Auditor, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives (A3) and 8D corrective actions; requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 3+ years in quality management/engineering in manufacturing, with Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or Quality Engineer experience preferred and strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a science, engineering, or a technical field is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in quality management, quality engineering, or six sigma application
- Effective communication skills – verbal, written, presentation; and intermediate skills with MS Office
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Quality Engineer preferred
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-9001 environment
- Statistical data analysis and problem solving ability
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and manufacturing requirements
- Team building ability through all levels and areas of the organization
- General understanding of performance management requirements (KPIs)
