Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct detailed process audits, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to materials, equipment, processes, and products, and drive corrective actions to address discrepancies. Manage nonconformance issues with suppliers, track performance, and serve as a liaison for engineering technical inquiries. Implement robust quality control systems, develop and maintain QMS documentation, and ensure adherence to AS9100 standards through internal and external audits. Monitor in-process quality performance, validate engineering changes to spacecraft, and support inspection activities to ensure incoming goods meet quality standards. Assist in the creation of Quality Control Notices and manufacturing workflows, while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office and involves access to US export-controlled software.
Required Qualifications
- HND in Engineering: Relevant qualification in an engineering discipline
- Quality Engineering Experience: Proven background in a Quality Engineering role, preferably in manufacturing or engineering
- RCCA Expertise: Skilled in driving RCCA processes to resolution, utilizing methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA and Pareto analysis
- AS9100 Knowledge: Strong understanding of AS9100 standards (ISO 9001:2015 experience shall also be considered)
- Fast-Paced Environment: Experience working in a dynamic setting where adaptability and problem-solving are key
- Communication & IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and effective in both verbal and written communication
- Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office
