Job Summary
Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for end-to-end quality activities in electronics manufacturing. Own PFMEA, perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) at Level 1 and 3, and drive corrective and preventive actions across suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Apply root-cause analysis tools to identify systemic issues, analyze data to monitor QMS goals, and assist in RMA evaluations and environmental/ESD program audits. Support QMS enhancements, participate in audits, mentor teams, maintain 5S and Lean initiatives, and pursue ongoing process improvements to ensure product and process compliance. Strong knowledge of IPC standards, CAPA, PFMEA, quality metrics, and cross-functional collaboration are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in root cause analysis, process engineering, manufacturing, or quality engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel
- Experience with PFMEA development, updates, and cross-functional reviews
- Experience in PCBA manufacturing and quality systems
- Experience with CAPA systems and quality metrics
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, 8D)
- IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-033)
- Experience leading or supporting internal audits (LPA) and external audits (ISO 13485)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Experience with PFMEA development, updates, and cross-functional reviews
- Experience in PCBA manufacturing and quality systems
- Experience with CAPA systems and quality metrics
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, 8D, etc.)
- IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-033)
- Experience leading or supporting internal audits and external audits (ISO 13485)
- Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills
- Experience with quality tools (Control Plans, DOE, PPAP, NADCAP)
