Job Summary
Quality Assurance Engineer II responsible for professional quality engineering assignments of considerable complexity, including statistical analysis (capability studies, DOE), metrology/support for customer programs, and development of QA methods and procedures. Helps implement CORE Quality Blocks (Structured Problem Solving, Process Control Systems, Reliable Quality), conducts internal and external audits and supplier surveys, performs gauge R&R and capability studies, and applies statistical techniques (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) to drive continuous improvement. Collaborates with engineering and CMM programmers to ensure measurement system effectiveness, generates reports to identify trends, and provides training in internal auditing and statistical methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or Quality Engineering experience
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
- Green Belt preferred
- Certified Lead Auditor preferred
- AS9100 experience
- Root Cause Corrective Action experience
- Minitab/JMP experience
