Job Summary
Execute manual testing for C#/.NET applications deployed in AWS, covering backend server and UI JavaScript environments. Design and maintain test plans, scripts, and data sets to validate functional requirements against SQL Server databases. Log, analyze, and track defects through resolution while providing feedback to the development team. Prepare regular test status reports and manage testing schedules to optimize resource availability. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Manual Test Engineer on medium to large IT projects (within financial services)
- Strong manual testing experience, ideally within financial services
- Experience with Jira, Git, and API testing
- Testing experience across backend services and web-based UI JavaScript
- Testing within an AWS cloud architecture
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile/frequent releases environment and adapt to significant amounts of change in work assignment
- Knowledge of primary database engines (SQL Server) with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation & troubleshooting
- High standard of attention to detail and tenacity
- Confidence working in Agile, fast-release environments
Desired Qualifications
- Automation testing with JavaScript like tools
- ISTQB Certified Tester
- Knowledge of financial trading instruments (Shares/FX/Options/Derivatives)
- Comfortable working in both an unstructured (ambiguity) and a highly structured (process driven) testing environment
