Job Summary

Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) by supporting documentation updates and aligning processes with industry standards like ISO 9001. Investigate recurring quality issues using structured tools such as 5 Whys and FMEA to perform root cause analysis and prevent defects. Collect and analyze quality metrics to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce defects, waste, and rework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop standardized work instructions, SOPs, and quality aids, while providing coaching on checkpoints to empower operators. Assist in implementing process changes and emphasize preventive quality measures to address risks upstream. Work primarily in an office setting with regular floor visits for audits and training.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related role
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around in a manufacturing environment as needed
  • Occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and process improvement tools
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret quality data
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for training and SOP development
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality challenges
  • Basic understanding of problem-solving techniques like 5 Whys, root cause analysis, or FMEA
