Job Summary
Oversee QA operations in a manufacturing environment, supervising QA Technicians and daily lab operations; maintain and update QA procedures and documentation; coordinate incoming quality audits and inspections; monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards; analyze test results and communicate findings to plant management; assist with investigations involving raw materials, product complaints, and rejections; make decisions regarding material holds, releases, and inspections; coordinate maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment; order and maintain lab supplies and materials; support ongoing employee training and development within the QA department; work closely with production, vendors, and management to resolve quality concerns; assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of quality procedures and inspections
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of statistics or quality systems is a plus
- Physical & Work Environment – Work is performed in both climate-controlled office/lab settings and on the plant floor
- Must be able to work overtime as needed to meet production and customer demands
