Job Summary
Conduct quality assurance utilization reviews and implement technical assistance procedures for substance abuse treatment programs. Monitor, review, and evaluate service quality by analyzing data to prepare reports and recommend improvements. Manage record-keeping systems and distribute correspondence while adhering to MTC and Texas Department of Criminal Justice directives. Assist the program director in developing measurable outcomes and tracking their achievement. Maintain accountability for staff, inmates, and property by modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when necessary. Perform quarterly self-monitoring using approved plans and submit performance measures reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE)
- Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning substance abuse treatment experience
- Current valid licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS)
- Current certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals
- Current valid licensure as Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) licensed to conduct counseling in a treatment environment
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Correctional Awareness Training (CAT)
- Successful completion of annual in-service training requirements
- Passing an annual background check
