Job Summary
Confirm shop spool dimensions and configurations, document material and welder assignments, and coordinate shipping and receiving of outbound fabricated spools. Assist the engineering team in designing, analyzing, and validating mechanical systems and fabrication processes for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. Support the shop-fabrication side and field services while ensuring consistent quality and safety across pipe, sheet metal, and steel work. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- 0-3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience (fresh graduates with intern/co-op experience welcomed)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Good communication skills - able to work with engineers, fabricators, and field teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication/field environment, adapting to changes and working under guidance
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (piping, HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, steel) in industrial or commercial environments is a plus
- Familiarity with engineering analysis tools and techniques (stress/flow calculations, support design)
