Job Summary
Conduct test planning, test design, scripting, and manual execution throughout the test life cycle to ensure comprehensive testing against established acceptance criteria. Work within an embedded Scrum team to collaborate with developers and stakeholders on defect prevention and functional enhancements. Proactively monitor program performance using tools like Kibana and Grafana to prevent recurring operational issues and assist in root cause analysis for software defects. Create or modify scripts for data validation and provide clear, concise documentation to developers. Be willing to learn testing automation and demonstrate strong time management and communication skills. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; U.S. citizenship or employment authorization is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. employment authorization for this position
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of database structures, usage, and SQL
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical team members
- Be an advocate for application quality on behalf of customers
- Work within an embedded Scrum team, collaborating with developers, QA, and stakeholders to emphasize defect prevention, usability, and functional enhancements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Conduct test planning, test design, test scripting, and manual test execution throughout the test life cycle
- Use test methodologies that ensure exhaustive and comprehensive testing of assigned applications and solutions against established acceptance criteria
- Proactively monitor program performance after implementation using provided tools (Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace, etc.) to prevent recurring program operating problems and ensure efficient operation
- Create or modify scripts to analyze or extract data that assist with data validation and issue resolution
- Consistently follow and support documented QA processes and procedures to ensure a high-quality testing approach
- Troubleshoot, document, and assist in root cause analysis by creating clear, concise written documentation and problem descriptions for software defects using a bug tracking system
- Be willing to learn and understand testing automation (with guidance)
