Job Summary
Validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the testing lifecycle for a major internal transformation initiative. Create, maintain, and execute test plans and cases while performing end-to-end, black box, white box, and regression testing. Analyze business requirements, document and track defects, and validate communications outputs generated through the project. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to troubleshoot issues, support user acceptance testing, and maintain testing documentation. Participate in system upgrade validations and contribute to continuous process improvements. This fixed-term contract runs through June 30, 2027, with a hybrid schedule in Toronto.
Required Qualifications
- Quality assurance testing experience within a commercial environment
- Strong understanding of software testing and quality assurance methodologies
- Strong database knowledge and SQL querying experience
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, SharePoint, MTM, and PDF comparison tools
- Thorough understanding of black box, white box, end-to-end, and regression testing methodologies
- Ability to read and analyze structured data formats, including XML and flat files
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- University degree in an Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Automation testing experience
- Experience testing Quadient Inspire CCM platforms
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
- Financial services experience
- Experience working within banking or other highly regulated environments
