Quality Assurance - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Perform in-process and final inspections on parts, assemblies, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications. Conduct routine process audits to verify adherence to Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and 5S practices. Document and report nonconforming materials, initiate NCRs, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. Maintain accurate quality records and inspection data while supporting the Quality Management System. Participate in internal and external audits as needed. This role operates on the 2nd shift in Houston, MS, onsite.
Required Qualifications
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Ability to perform inspections with basic measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges)
- Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to quality culture
- Ability to support QMS requirements including documentation and process adherence
- Must be available for 2nd shift
- Must be onsite in Houston, MS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in ISO 9001 manufacturing or fabrication environments
- Background in quality inspection, process audits, nonconformance management, NCRs, CAPA, or structured problem-solving
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows such as fabrication, machining, assembly, or material handling
- Experience with 5S or Lean/Six Sigma
- Exposure to supplier quality management or vendor inspections
