Job Summary
Quality and Safety Manager to ensure quality of printed materials and lead process improvements. Responsible for safety compliance with local, state and federal agencies; develop and maintain quality standards, train personnel, generate quality requirements, implement improvements, conduct audits, document QA activities (QANs/reports), communicate with clients and vendors, participate in Continuous Improvement Teams, and develop safety programs and training for supervisors/managers; must collaborate with management to ensure OSHA compliance and maintain safe work environment. In-person role based in Newington, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- 2-3 years of quality engineering experience in a direct mail printing or related industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business related software
- Knowledge of laser printers
- Knowledge of paper materials
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge of web, sheetfed, envelope, flexo and other printing processes
