Job Summary
Quality & Governance Officer (National Standards Partner) to strengthen quality and safety outcomes within a forensic mental health service. Drive governance, accreditation readiness, and continuous improvement across a complex healthcare environment; collaborate with Executive Directors and Quality & Safety teams to interpret and update policies, support accreditation activities, and embed best care practices across clinical and operational areas. Key focus on managing policy/procedure systems for compliance, enabling staff to develop clear and compliant policies, coordinating quality committees (including acting as secretariat), and monitoring alignment with NSQHSS standards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated involvement in audit or survey processes
- Experience assisting executives and senior leaders to analyse and interpret documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and document management systems
- Experience with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS) in a healthcare setting (desirable)
- Experience in mental health or a complex healthcare environment (desirable)
