Job Summary
Monitor, audit, and evaluate quality for back-office healthcare operations including Medical Records Requests, FMLA and New Patient Paperwork, Incoming/Outgoing Faxes, and Patient Triage. Perform detailed EMR audits to verify documentation accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to SOPs, HIPAA guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Identify quality gaps, track recurring errors, and recommend process improvements to maintain operational excellence. Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting trends and collaborate with Operations and Management teams to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Healthcare Quality Assurance, Medical Records, EMR Auditing, or Healthcare Back-office Operations
- Strong knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and healthcare documentation standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify process deviations
- Strong written communication and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience auditing Medical Records, FMLA documentation, Patient Triage, or healthcare documentation
- Experience working with US Healthcare processes
- Knowledge of quality methodologies and audit techniques
- Ability to analyze trends and recommend process improvements
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
