Quality Analyst - Financial Crimes

$77,539–$110,884 year

On-siteColumbus, Ohio, United States

Full TimeLarge

Job Summary

Review fraud and AML cases across disciplines to identify deviations and strengthen investigative accuracy. Assess investigator decisions and adherence to procedures while delivering data-driven insights to Compliance and Operations teams. Identify quality gaps in workflows to drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and operational excellence. Provide structured feedback and actionable insights to enhance end-to-end financial crime process quality. Work in a tech-forward environment utilizing data and AI-assisted tooling to sharpen case review.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years with direct, hands-on experience investigating cases across KYC, Fraud, and AML — including onboarding, due diligence, alert handling, case investigations, and SAR writing/filing
  • A university degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, Criminology, or a related field connected to financial crime prevention
  • Ability to communicate investigative reasoning clearly and collaborate effectively with investigators and team leads
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, with experience contributing to quality assessments, defect documentation, and reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • Ideally, 1–3 years of experience performing quality control reviews, peer assessments, or evaluations of investigation standards within KYC, AML, and/or fraud environments
  • A solid understanding of AML and KYC regulatory expectations and fraud prevention frameworks, including familiarity with FATF recommendations and relevant regional guidance
  • You love to build and have experience doing it — ready to jump into creating something great rather than waiting for a team to do it for you
  • You speak more than one language (German, French, and Swedish ideally)
  • Genuine enthusiasm for tech and AI — you are comfortable adopting new tools, automating manual steps, and using AI-assisted analysis to work smarter across case volumes
  • A fast learner who can pick up new typologies, systems, and regulatory changes quickly
  • Experience coaching and supporting others — you know how to build people up and help them grow
  • Demonstrated continuous learning — CAMS, CFE, Project Management, Masterclasses, SQL — anything that shows you are continuing to learn in this space or outside of it
  • Technical skills — any and all technical skills are welcome and a bonus
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity — sound judgment when procedures don't cover every scenario, and a bias toward figuring it out
