Job Summary

Provide behavior support services and weekly skills training sessions to children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral disturbances. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans while collaborating with families, caregivers, and team members to address client needs. Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust plans as necessary, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and state Medicaid requirements. This role utilizes a strength-based approach to help clients build essential skills for positive, successful lives. A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling is required, along with a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $18 to $25.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Understanding of behavioral patterns in children and adolescents within the MH/SA population
  • Strong organizational and conflict resolution skills
  • Good judgment, insight, and the ability to make effective decisions in behavior intervention
  • Knowledge of state and Medicaid requirements related to treatment services

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse services (MH/DD/SAS)
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Client Rights/HIPAA
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
  • Documentation and crisis intervention skills
