Job Summary
Assists the Program Director in the overall operation of the WIC program and satellite sites. Develops and implements individual care plans (ICPs) and oversees high-risk care; provides leadership to CPA and Nutrition Assistant staff; coordinates nutrition education including breastfeeding promotion; refers high-risk participants to health-related and social services; tracks participant progress and documents outcomes; conducts program orientation and enrollment activities (including explaining program benefits, issuing eWIC cards, and enrolling clients into WIC health); collects information for certification (identity, income, residency); facilitates referrals and ensures efficient flow of assessment and education processes; provides leadership in planning, conducting, and evaluating participant-centered nutrition services; mentors and trains new LA staff; leads nutrition training for LA staff on education topics; overall contribution to program operations and participant support.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Able to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed
- Able to work well with others with team spirit
- Bilingual Preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Zoom Preferred
- Salary: $60,000
