Job Summary
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) providing assessment, treatment planning, and therapy within Lifelong Access’ behavioral health services. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing client-centered treatment plans, delivering individual and group therapy to supported individuals, ensuring accurate billable documentation, training agency staff on treatment plan implementation, and participating in agency-wide activities. The role supports growth of clinic services, opportunities for clinical supervision, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. Requires graduate-level coursework and supervised direct service experience in a mental health setting, with preference for Illinois licensure knowledge and experience with Medicaid.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or a related field
- completed practicum (or internship) with a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service in a mental health setting OR minimum one year of documented clinical experience under supervision of a QMHP
- Illinois professional license preferred, but not required
- Medicaid knowledge preferred
- Confidentiality understanding
- Desire and ability to work under supervision and cooperatively with a treatment team
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with safe driving record
- Must be able to pass criminal, DCFS, and safe driving background checks
- Must be able to pass TB test and drug screen
- Current proof of automobile insurance
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred, but not required
