Job Summary
Administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards. Provide direct care to residents, communicate their needs effectively, and attend scheduled in-service training programs. Assist with programming activities while adhering to safety and infection control policies. Promote positive public relations for the facility and perform other tasks as required by the Director of Nursing. This full-time role requires the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, with weekends and doubles permitted. Starting pay ranges from $19.00 to $25.00 hourly based on experience, including shift differentials. The DaMar Team serves medical facilities offering independent, assisted, and memory care in the Indianapolis Metro area.
Required Qualifications
- Valid QMA certificate from an accredited program
- At least one year experience in long term care
- Valid DL
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must be okay with working weekends
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year experience in assisted living preferred
- CPR & First Aid Certification a plus
- TB completed test a plus
- Physical within a year a plus
- Comfortable providing above average patient service
- Physically able to stand and walk for periods of time
- Organized with ability to multitask and prioritize workflow
