Qualified Medication Administration Personnel

Job Summary
Administer routine medications to residents according to physician and service plans, documenting all given and withheld doses per regulations. Monitor resident health, safety, and well-being while assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Respond to emergencies with first-aid assistance and arrange medical follow-up, reporting concerns to the Director of Nursing or Executive Director. Complete incident reports, incident logs, and documentation on functional status changes, vitals, and appointments. Maintain confidentiality and attend staff meetings, reporting on-the-job injuries immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medication Aide certificate, or state required med pass certificate
- Basic First Aid Training
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in working with older adults
- Experience in medication administration and medications
- Promote teamwork in providing services to resident
- Nursing standards of practice for older adults
- State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living
- HIPAA requirements
- Ability to organize and prioritize with good attention to detail
- Safe food handling procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior living
