Job Summary
Casual, part-time Qualified Care Professional (Punjabi speaking) is needed to provide direct care and support to clients, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, mobility assistance, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and activities that promote independence and wellbeing. Responsibilities include maintaining client records, communicating effectively with clients and supervisors, promoting client safety and health, and ensuring a clean, safe living environment. Must have Cert III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability support; valid Australian driver’s license with access to a vehicle; willingness to obtain an Australian Police Check; and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Punjabi language skills are required to serve clients who speak Punjabi; role supports hybrid remote/work arrangements and is based in Officer, Victoria, AU.
Required Qualifications
- Qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support
- Valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance
- Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
- First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred
- Cooking - Punjabi style cuisine knowledge (benefit)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong empathy and compassion
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in social care
