Job Summary
Design the passive FTTH network for GVA Uganda using GIS and CAD to produce preliminary and as-built documentation while ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and sizing rules. Generate deliverables aligned with project timelines and update network inventory and OSP/ISP reference documents throughout the network's lifecycle. Contribute to geo-marketing analysis, topographic surveys, and infrastructure geo-referencing to optimize technical and financial deployment strategies. Validate maintenance aspects with OSP teams and assist in planning patrol operations to ensure operational excellence. Requires 3+ years of design experience, mastery of GIS and AutoCAD, and fluency in French and English. Based in Kampala.
Required Qualifications
- Experience + / - 3 years of project engineer and / or design manager in a design office, a telecom operator or a deployment company
- Higher education type Engineering School or equivalent University (Master level)
- Strong knowledge in the use of GIS software, Auto cad, and Excel
- Mastery of technical constraints related to fixed telecommunications networks and FTTH networks in particular
- Knowledge of project management
- Fluency in French and English
