Job Summary
QSHE Manager at Kuehne+Nagel leads quality, safety, health, and environmental programs for a distribution facility. You’ll be the subject matter expert for quality and safety, conduct investigations and lead root-cause analyses, coordinate and implement related standards and procedures, and train staff and supervisors on accident and injury prevention, product and process safety, and best practices. You’ll support DEI initiatives, maintain QSHE training matrices and records, conduct audits to evaluate system effectiveness, and identify improvements. The role requires 4+ years in warehousing/distribution QSHE disciplines, 1+ year leadership/training, experience with heavy industrial equipment, proficiency in MS Office, and travel up to 15% to Charlotte and Spotswood facilities; bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required. The position is based in Piscataway, NJ with regular travel to Spotswood, NJ and quarterly travel to Charlotte, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in Quality, Safety and Health, and Environmental in a warehousing or distribution environment
- 2+ years’ experience using quality systems
- 1+ years of leadership or training experience
- 1+ years' experience with heavy industrial equipment such as conveyor & automation systems
- Willing to travel up to 15% to our Charlotte or Spotswood facilities
- Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, workplace hazards, and associated controls
- Knowledge of ISO, Lean, OSHA standards and DOT
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) compliance
- Related certifications, such as in Safety Management, OSHA, HSE, or HSQE, are a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
