Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop treatment plans for clients while providing individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy. Utilize psychopharmacology knowledge to collaborate with psychiatrists in medication management and offer clinical counseling support to individuals with PTSD and other mental health conditions. Perform ongoing patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, while maintaining accurate documentation of client interactions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Requires valid licensure as a QMHP, QMHP-T, BHT, or BHT-A with a Bachelor's or master's degree in social work or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered with the Va Board of Health Professionals as a QMHP, QMHP_T, BHT, BHT-A
- Bachelor's or master's degree in social work or a related field
- Valid licensure as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Experience working with individuals with PTSD and other mental health disorders
- Excellent clinical counseling skills, including active listening, empathy, and rapport building
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of art therapy or dance therapy techniques is a plus
