Job Summary
Administer medications to patients, record related documentation, and collect vital information regarding their conditions and treatment. Provide basic care to assist patients with daily activities while monitoring for changes and reporting them to the nursing team. Maintain professional appearance and behavior while following all instructions and communicating verbally and in writing. Complete required training courses, pass the state exam, and register with the State Department of Public Instruction. Work full-time night shifts at Miller's Health Systems, a 100% employee-owned organization serving Indiana families since 1964.
Required Qualifications
- Certified in the State of Indiana
- Pass the physical examination required at employment
- Successful completion of Resident Care Assistant and Medication Assistant Training courses
- Successful completion of the 60 hour Qualified Medication Assistant course and the 40 hour practicum
- Pass the Qualified Medication Assistant exam
- Certified as a Qualified Medicine Assistant by the State of Indiana
- Registered with State Department of Public Instruction
- Meet all qualifications for Nurse Assistant
- Proven ability and experience as a resident care assistant
- Follow instructions
- Communicate verbally and in writing
- Is neat, well groomed and professional
