Job Summary
Dispense, administer, monitor, and document medications and treatments as prescribed by authorized healthcare providers while adhering to scope of practice, facility policies, and state guidelines. Report on patient conditions to supervisors and staff members as directed by the nursing plan of care. Perform tasks within educational preparation and permitted by local, state, and federal regulations. Must be a Qualified Medication Aide in Indiana with active certification and ability to pass competency tests.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Qualified Medication Aide in the state of Indiana
- Certified and actively listed with the State Board of Nursing in the state in which employed
- Able to pass a practical and written competency test
