Job Summary
Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) administers medications per physician orders and state/federal regulations, performs personal care, maintains medication inventories and documentation, charts routine medications, observes and reports side effects, collaborates with nurses and physicians, and participates in ongoing training to support high-quality resident care and safety in a post-acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible and to graduate and pass state test within 120 days
- Valid QMA certification in the State of Indiana
- Understanding of medication administration procedures and successful completion of a state approved training course
