Job Summary
Lubricate moving parts, perform oil changes, and drain/refill crankcases while replacing filters and checking fluid levels. Inspect tires, inject grease into units, add radiator water, and diagnose malfunctions to perform repairs. Save and tag parts under warranty, communicate with service advisors regarding additional work or delays, and road test vehicles when required. Document all work on repair orders, maintain dealership tools, and ensure customer vehicles remain clean. Comply with safety regulations and hazardous waste disposal standards while operating equipment safely.
Required Qualifications
- 11th grade high school education
- one to three months related experience
- related training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Driver's License
