Job Summary
Behavioral Intervention Specialist to provide psychological services for Individuals in ILA residences. Responsibilities include evaluating enrolled individuals, drafting behavior plans and monitoring behavior data and psychiatric issues, staff in-servicing on behavioral issues, drafting clinical presentations for Human Rights Committee and ISP/IDT meetings, interfacing with psychiatric/psychotherapy/psycho-sexual services, conducting monthly audits and submitting to supervisor, securing consents for medical treatment and restrictive equipment, serving as an advocate at interdisciplinary team, day program, court, and mandated meetings, writing sections of the Individual Comprehensive Function Assessment and Semi-Annual Review, coordinating Human Rights information/documentation, with extensive experience in Behavioral Intervention with OPWDD population, Staten Island locations in NY.
