QEHS Manager

Job Summary

Oversee Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance, quality assurance, and environmental health programs across two local manufacturing locations. Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems while leading internal, customer, and third-party audits. Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards. Manage customer complaints, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors. Provide strategic leadership to plant managers and employees, delivering safety training and fostering a culture of quality and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Management, Quality Management, Occupational Safety, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality and Environmental Health & Safety leadership roles in manufacturing, converting, packaging, distribution, or related industries
  • Multi-site management experience
  • Experience managing regulatory compliance programs and quality management systems
  • Previous experience supporting OSHA, EPA, and ISO compliance initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and reporting requirements
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 management systems
  • Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and quality/safety management software
  • Ability to influence change and build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to walk manufacturing and warehouse facilities for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned local facilities
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • ASQ Quality Certification
