Job Summary
Prepare cut samples for the Quality Lab by retrieving them from large and small presses and cutting them into dog bones for the Zwick machine. Conduct floor inspections of extruded product, verify hardness from Age Ovens, and inspect defective materials returned from customers. Maintain the CNC through daily cleaning and adding cooling agent, then approve finished products by conforming to specifications using visual and measurement tests with meters, gauges, and calipers. Perform flare testing on extrusion samples when required and drive a forklift to move, rearrange, and dispose of scrap. Work the 1st shift (5am–1pm or 5am–3pm) at a starting rate of $21.25/hour. Prior manufacturing experience and strong technical math skills are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- No High School Diploma or GED required

- Interprets drawings, aluminum standards, and customer requirements
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively
- Ability to multitask and maintain priorities as established by Management
- Ability to take direction from multiple sources
- Prior manufacturing experience desirable
- Good Math and Technical skills
- Basic understanding or can learn the basic principles of testing and using the CNC
