Job Summary
Conduct daily quality and compliance inspections, including random audits of skids, bales, and finished goods, while performing quality testing for paper tensile strength, handle strength, and ink rub resistance in the QA Lab. Monitor all aspects of quality and safety, ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and SQF standards, and document findings in appropriate systems. Report quality issues to supervisors and management, assist with customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis, and lead food safety certification efforts. Perform required audits for sanitation, security, and good manufacturing practices, and send daily summaries of safety and quality issues. Maintain clean work areas per 5S standards, participate in safety meetings, and assist with employee training and orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of production, quality or safety experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Reading, writing and basic math skills
- Knowledge of quality standards
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to effectively lead meetings with employees and management
- Self-management with organization, time management, and analytical skills
