Job Summary
Quality Control Associate in a food-manufacturing setting responsible for testing, weighing, measuring, and inspecting products for defects and deviations from specifications. Must read instructions and perform basic calculations, and operate pH meters, thermometers, viscometers, and moisture analyzers. Conduct product testing and verification (Net Content, Metal Detectors, Check-Weigher Systems, Goodway, Vacuum Leaker, Residual Gas, etc.) per SOPs; adhere to GMP, PPE, safety procedures, and protocols; complete and verify records with accuracy and timeliness. Strong communication skills in English required; ability to exercise good judgment and quick decision-making. Duties include allergen tasting to ensure quality, and occasional other duties as assigned. Requires ability to work in variable temperatures (34–55°F), lift up to 10 pounds, and stand/walk on concrete; may involve stairs, ladders, and platforms. Visual acuity for data analysis, transcription, and inspection of small defects. Education: Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience; experience with QA, corrective action programs, and regulatory requirements.
