QC Technician

Job Summary
Inspect manufactured and purchased products using metrology equipment including micrometres, verniers, gauges, CMM, and VMM in accordance with company drawings and specifications. Support new product development with inspection reports, gauge R&R, and MSA reviews. Liaise with technical authorities on issues, support MRB reviews, CAPA investigations, and both internal and external audits. Perform calibration tasks as required. Based in Basingstoke, this role operates on double day shifts from 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm. The position offers a competitive salary plus a 30% shift allowance, 25 days holiday, and pension. Candidates require an HNC in Engineering and experience with machining, milling, and GD&T.
Required Qualifications
- HNC or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline
- Trained and experienced in the use of CMM and VMM
- Experience in machining and milling, ideally within the medical or aerospace sector
- Familiar with GD&T and confident in a variety of metrology equipment ranging from a micrometre to CMM/VMM
- Ability to read drawings and determine the method of inspection
- Ability to write Inspection Reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Double day shifts, 6am – 2pm/2pm- 10pm
