Job Summary
Monitor and review information from materials and the environment to detect problems, then inspect concrete mix designs, dimensions, cleanliness, and placement of reinforced steel. Evaluate the mixing, placing, consolidating, finishing, and curing of concrete products, ensuring proper approval stamps and release to shipping without damage or quality failures. Conduct final inspections before yard release and validate damage repair procedures. Provide information to supervisors via telephone, email, or in person to support business decisions. Follow safety guidelines and operate powered industrial trucks only after training. Requires ACI Concrete Strength, Field Testing, and Aggregate certifications. Monday-Friday 5:00am-5:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry and their applications
- Knowledge of raw materials, and production processes
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- 12 months in a manufacturing environment
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members, customers, and the public
- Ability to solve practical problems and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Must procure all certificates and licenses to perform position as well as be qualified by AmeriTex Pipe to operate powered Industrial Trucks required to fulfill position requirements
- ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Field Testing and ACI Aggregate Certifications
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED desirable but not required
- Experience working in heavy manufacturing and/or concrete desired but not required
