Job Summary
QC Technician maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. Responsibilities include equipment verification and monitoring challenges (scale calibration, metal detector challenge, checkweigher challenge), pre-operation and line clearance inspections, ATP sampling, independently performing and documenting all in-process food safety and quality inspections (BOM, lot code, net weight, label review, sensory, package construction and closure), and blow molding and winding inspection (Bartlett only). Responsible for investigation and following hold procedures for out of specification components and finished goods. Trained in GMP and GDP and performs GMP-related auditing of production. Maintains a safe/healthy work environment, collaborates with team, complies with legal regulations, and may work overtime or attend required meetings/trainings. Operates standard office equipment, reads/writes English, and possesses basic computer literacy with tablets. Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED and 3-6 months related food quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working conditions include office and warehouse with 55–80°F, weekends or alternate shifts as needed. Physical: lift up to 35 pounds.
