QC Technician 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Conduct quality analysis and control for beverage, salad dressing, kids' tube, fiber, concentrate, and IQF production by performing analytical analysis, food safety audits, and micro audits. Operate lab equipment, collect samples, and analyze in-process and finished goods while maintaining calibration records. Perform pre-operational, in-process, and post-operation sanitation audits, including microbiological and ATP swabbing of facilities. Place products on hold for deviations and complete corrective actions and all quality paperwork in hard copy and electronic formats. Work with minimal supervision in a 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) environment, adhering to GMP policies and supporting production personnel to address non-compliance items.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- three to six months of related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be self-motivated and can perform multiple tasks
- Ability to communicate in English including writing, speaking and reading
- Must be teamwork oriented, communicate and interact well with others
- Utilize Bolthouse Farms standard operating procedures to prepare and/or analyze various parameters including good laboratory practices and aseptic techniques
- Ability to taste and evaluate finished products
- Ability to differentiate colors to examine product quality difference
- Dependable and can work flexible hours including weekends
- Knowledge of math and science concepts
- Detail oriented and have a good writing ability for clear record keeping
- Must be able to work in a wet, cold or hot environment
- Must be able to lift 25lbs - 50lbs
- 2nd shift (2pm-1030pm) when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
Desired Qualifications
- reasonable Spanish desired but not mandatory
- 1-2 years' experience in food manufacturing or food production preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related experience and or/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
