Job Summary
Execute site-specific quality control programs by applying Standard Operating Procedures, reviewing project designs, and managing inspections for utility-scale solar and substation installations. Identify and track non-conformance issues, assist with remediation, and upload inspection data to the QC software platform. Ensure all records, testing, and documentation are accurate and submitted to customers per contract requirements while cultivating a core safety value. This full-time role requires 4+ years of solar electrical experience, frequent travel, and physical endurance for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years solar electrical experience
- Experience with electrical testing procedures and digital documentation
- Understands how to read and interpret plans, specifications, and equipment standards
- Familiarity with construction means and methods applicable to utility scale solar and substation installations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in the relevant industry
- Good computer skills including proficiency in industry standard software programs and proficiency in using technology and software systems for quality management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic field environments
- Willingness to frequently travel and work outside of regular business hours
- Possess a valid US driver's license
- Site Based - Full Time Travel Required
- Remain outside for multiple hours in hot or cold weather at construction sites
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
- Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
Desired Qualifications
- NFPA 70E Certification preferred
