Job Summary
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and procedures. Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions. Conduct audits of processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements. Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality concerns. Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards and inspection procedures. Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
- 6 or more years in a manufacturing environment
- 6 or more years in a leadership position
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift
- Must be able to exert moderate to heavy physical effort with lifting requirement up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend
- Must be able to see, speak, and hear
- Must be able to read instructions and all measuring devices
- Must use fingers and hands to manipulate tools and small parts
- Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
- Must wear all required PPE
- Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds
- Some aspects of this position may require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of equipment capabilities, pressure vessels and welding, ASME, and NDE
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div 1
- Non Destructive Examination (NDE)
- Knowledge of NQA-1 related quality program
- Quality Auditing experience
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints, work order instructions and weld symbols
- Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality
- Highly motivated self-starter that is adept at taking initiative
