QC Specialist

Job Summary

Conduct pre-pour inspections of formwork, rebar, PT, and embeds to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Review construction documents to confirm field installations meet design intent and coordinate with engineers and superintendents for pre-pour and post-pour sign-offs. Document inspection results through checklists, photos, and reports while monitoring concrete pour activities to ensure placement follows approved procedures. This full-time role requires 45-50 hours per week, including nontypical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules, with minimal overnight travel in Dallas, Texas. Candidates must have 3-5 years of concrete construction experience, proficiency in field inspection software, and a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete construction
  • At least 2 years in a QA/QC or inspection role
  • Hands-on experience with cast-in-place concrete
  • Hands-on experience with formwork systems
  • Hands-on experience with rebar and PT installation
  • Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, PTI, and project-specific quality standards
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of tolerances
  • Knowledge of inspection documentation practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in the field
  • Solid understanding of formwork layout
  • Solid understanding of rebar detailing
  • Solid understanding of PT detailing
  • Solid understanding of embed placement
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/job location(s)
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check related to driving
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of all phases of concrete and building construction
  • Exceptionally strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate, resolve conflict, and deal effectively with all internal and external stakeholders professionally and respectfully
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in a construction environment
  • Ability to manage multiple inspections daily
  • Proficient in using tablets, digital forms, or field inspection software for reporting
