Job Summary
Entry-level QC/QA Assistant Inspector responsible for reviewing packaging materials and photographing finished products prior to customer approval and shipment; provide backup inspection, conduct in-process and First Article inspections, review and audit manufactured products and incoming materials for compliance with specifications, maintain calibration and inspection records, schedule and conduct periodic calibration of inspection devices, repair or replace devices as necessary, maintain QA/QC records including ISO audits and Corrective Action Reports, and enforce compliance with the Quality Manual. Skills include understanding GD&T and blueprint interpretation, geometry and trigonometry basics, experience with sheet metal forming and welding, and familiarity with measuring devices; strong communication and training abilities are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience with sheet metal forming, welding and assembly preferred
- Basic understanding in mathematics including geometry and some trigonometry
- Drawing (blueprint) interpretation including complex drawings and multi-page formats
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD & T) symbols and interpretation
- Preferred skills in use of basic measuring devices including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, protractors, fillet gauges, radius gauges, gauge pins, gauge blocks
