Job Summary
Validate methods and equipment for sterility, bioburden, endotoxin testing, and microbial identification while writing technical documentation and reviewing validation reports. Culture organisms, characterize them for investigations, and evaluate new methodologies for accuracy and compliance. Oversee contract laboratory testing, set product specifications, and lead technical troubleshooting for microbiological standards. Coach junior team members on aseptic techniques and support regulatory inspections to ensure quality and GMP adherence.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA or equivalent experience in Microbiology or related field
- 2+ years of validated experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 0-2 years of Experience QC Microbiology Scientist
- Minimum 2 years of Experience QC Microbiology Scientist
- GMP working experience in QC labs
- aseptic techniques
- strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
- strong attention to detail
- excellent written and oral skills
- Valid driver's license
